Hi, I am Sarah Sterchi.

I am a Chattanoogan, born & raised, mama of two, singer, photographer, visual storyteller & a dreamer at heart. From a young age, I begged my mother to buy me those little disposable cameras, filling them relentlessly & waiting impatiently to have them developed so I could plaster my bedroom wall with 4x6 snapshots of the people I loved. In high school, I found my way into the darkroom and fell in love with the process of creating a photo from start to finish. My college years brought more experience, and I graduated in 2009 with a B,S. in Psychology and minors in French & Photography. I neglected my camera (and my skill) for some years before finally picking it back up, at first just to document the lives of my sweet children. I then landed my dream job in 2018 with Dimples Photography, capturing fresh moments of newborns' lives in the hospitals here in Chattanooga. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I've been given, as it helped reawaken the passion I have for documenting some of the most special moments & people, not just in my own life, but in the lives of others. There is something I feel so deeply about photography that I can't even fully put into words-- seeing a moment that no one else saw, and freezing it in time for another human being to cherish forever. There's just nothing else like it.

“As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common, everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful.”
