What to Expect
My focus in family photography is to create images that embody who you and your people really are. Your connections, your heart, your joy, your vulnerability…We will get the "pose-and-smile-pretty" shots– but beyond that, let's just be present and enjoy the time together. I want to see you, I want to know you, but most importantly, I want your children to see your love when they look back on these photos as adults.
My sessions are a space for your kids to truly be themselves– all their emotions are acknowledged, respected and welcomed.
Please know I fully expect kids (people, really!) who may need to be coaxed into smiles or belly laughs. The less pressure you put on your littles the better. I love figuring out what makes them tick and becoming buddies by the end of our session. This is one reason I highly recommend a slightly longer (usually at least half hour) shoot so we all have more time to warm up to one another and try different things. Typically our favorite shots are snapped toward the end.
All in all, my sessions are a space for unpretentious, fun, laid-back, sentimental people like you, who want to preserve memories of your most treasured humans (and fur babies, too! Always bring your dog!).
I want you to embrace and enjoy the sweet chaos of family life. Be present for the moment while I simply document your family dynamic.
We're living days of social pressure and rushing. We tend to overlook the beauty residing inside our homes & hearts. I want your honest moments of connection. Your love + bonding.
For you to see how beautiful you are.
For your children to see, when older, how loved they were during their childhood.
